I think it will depend on many factors, for example, do you recalculate the fact table every time you run an ETL or do you use incremental load? Do you have a transaction-level data or aggregated fact table? With incremental load and aggregated data, the volume will drop. But regardless, my sense that it will be a bit slow because it iterates through each row.
